i recently aquired a nearly new Hitachi ED-S3170A projector from my freind for a killer deal. and he also threw in a 6ft projector screen. anyways, the projector itself has only 110hours used on the lamp, and althoug it does high resolutions(up to 1024x768, it doesnt have any hd inputs
) anyways, i mounted the screen a few days ago, and took my old KLH S5100 reciever out from the closet. and orderd 3 Athena C.5 speakers for the front soundstage of my ht setup. i got them for 70bucks a pop with free shipping via amazon! best deal ive came across in a long time. im going to be running one of my ascendant assasin 10's w/150ish watt plate amp for the substage. i cant wait for it all to be done.
rear surrounds will come eventually i just didnt want to drop another 100+ on rears yet.
the projector looks very nice so far, although it only has a 400:1 contrast ratio. its still an awesome looking setup. cant wait for the speakers!
