Ok not sure if i posted this in the right section, I have a 97 Mustang and about 6 months ago i bought the 2 Kicker Comps in the Ported Box from curcuit city and then i bought a SOny Xplod 600watt amp. Yea i didnt really want the sony xplod but i didnt have the money and didnt look around. But i get everything hooked up and i bridged it to where it was the full 600 watts. Now then the amp shut off, well i read that bridged it was 4 ohms and i have a 2 ohm box. So i rewired the wires to just the left side which i guess would be around 300 watts at 2 ohms. So i was wondering can i rewire the box and put say the left sub to the left output on the amp and the right sub to the right output on the sub. Will it make it hit any harder than it is now. It hits hard but not as hard as i want it to.
I used to own a MTX Sledgehammer (5500) and a 400 watt alpine amp and it would put these Kickers to Shame. i dont get it.
I also own a 1000 watt Sony Xplod Amp can i use it insted of the 600 and just wire it to the left side on the 2 ohm box, would it hit any harder than what i have now and not blow the subs.
Sorry these are the only 2 amps i have and i wanna try to make this work as good as i can cause i dont have much money.
