New here.. need some help..

alright so Ive had a couple of wack systems for about a year.. first a single 10 then a single 12 and now I got two 12s.. I had them powered off a cheap *** non brand 1000 watt (not rms) amp..

They are two rockford fosgate p2s i think they do about 250 rms each so total of 500..

but anyways.. i wanna move on to bigger shit so heres my question..

I just got an alright amp I got a JL 1/1000 Slash so this thing puts out about 1000 Watts RMS.. I'll eventually get better subs prolly RE SEs but for now I was wondering if I turned the bass down on the amp will I still be risking blowing these?

See I dont wanna blow these just yet cus I dont got the money for the REs yet..

set your gain properly then turn it down 50% more.

hey thanks bro but how do I set the gain on this amp? I have the boost all the way down.. is it the "Q"? Here's a pic of what it looks like...

And one more thing.. should I have the infrasonic filter on and if so at what level? It's a ported box..

dam i feel like an idiot haha... ill try fukin with it tommorow..i also noticed that the bass went down a little when messin around with the "Q"..

Should I leave that at 0.5 or adjust it also?
