I'm looking to buy a new head unit. My budget is 300 but i'm aiming for maximum SQ so if it's going to make a noticable difference I am willing to spend up to 500. single din or double. must have ipod connection. my other components are

2 12'' jl w3's/mtx 1000xd

focal ps 165/ jx 360-4

and I currently have a jvc kd-r610.

Pioneer 80prs is right around the corner. That sounds right up your alley and will be a beast of a deck as all of their PRS lines have been.

I was heading that way, till I realized I was a realist and couldnt justify that much on a deck.

I just pre-ordered the new Pioneer DEH-80PRS for $299. If it sounds as good as my 880's, I'll be selling two 880's for $200. each.

Alpine 9887 and the adapter. Should run you right around $200-$250 for a mint condition or new one.

I just got the the pioneer 4400bh, will be parting with my jvc nx7000 detach face voice nav iPod hook up(not iPhone 4, at least not on screen like iPod) DVD sd USB 4v pre outs and more.( make a offer and it's yours)if not I would take a hard look at the new 2012 pioneers or kenwoods

Nakamichi CD400. You will have to hook your ipod up through the aux input though.

i just picked up a Jensen VM9224BT for a little over $200 on amazon and i love it. with the BT model it comes with the BT mic in the box as well as a really nice iPod cable, you can attach the ipod cable up front or around the back. If you attach it in the back you still have an AUX, USB, and SD up front. Has a fair amount of options for EQ too.

i dont care what anyone says about Jensen after reading every review about every DDin touchscreen even close to my price range as far as i am concerned this is a top notch deck. I have not had one issue since installing it and it has made my stock int speakers sound 10x better than the stock deck.

it also has hook ups for a reverse cam and addon nav if i decide to go that route later.
