Just a little about myself. I am from Wisconsin and am currently working on completely rebuilding my sound system learning from my past mistakes. I am currently drive a 1994 for tempo, so I am not going to do anything to custom as who knows how long my car is going to last haha.

New system going to include

Front:

Diamond Audio 5 1/4" Components (Not sure on the model at the moment)

Rear:

Rockford Fosgate P1692 6"x9" Punch 2-Way Full Range Speaker.

Subwoofer:

Currently a single Kenwood eXcelon KFC-XW1202DVC

Planning on upgrading to either a new single subwoofer or possible 2 subwoofers in the future.

Amp:

Rockford Fosgate P1000X5 1,000 watt Class-BD 5-Channel Amplifier

(currently waiting to ship since it is the newest model)

Headunit:

JVC KD-R530

(Plan on upgrading in the near future since I will need 3 pre-outs, currently undecided on what to upgrade to)

Other:

Rockford Fosgate RFC10HB 10 farad Hybrid Digital Capacitor

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Welcome please do your best to ignore low post count guys they tend to cause a nuscience for other new guys. They have plenty of vets on here that love to help if they can. Please read the rules and try and post in in thread catagories relative to your inquiry or statement.

For instance please don't post a which sub in the subwoofer classifieds catagory it doesn't get much attention there and clutters the classifieds

Otherwise welcome to the forum

nice. I believe there is a carshow at a college coming up soon. Or it might have passed.
I believe it just passed 2 weekend ago.

Also thanks winkychevelle, I am just looking for general help on the rebuild of my system at the moment. I've learned to ignore certain groups of people on forums so don't worry haha.

Is the carshow where you heard about this site?

Are you looking to learn? Or are you starting a build?

No I heard about this site just from searching around the internet, I did not attend the carshow. I am looking to learn as much as I can at the moment, looking for ideas as I am personally starting a very basic build outlined in my original post.

Ask lots of questions. This hobby is littered with pitfalls to avoid with every step you take. If you wanna do things right, plan on taking a lot of time to simply plan and plan and plan.

Us freaks of the car audio world do things better than your buddy or the guy at Best Buy said. Have faith, listen, learn and ye will be rewarded with a sound system you can be proud of, and likely one to make haters out of your friends who went to Best Buy and had them install everything.

Number one biggest thing for people to learn first getting into the game, installation is key, paramount, everything. Taking your time and doing things slowly and correctly with a lot of thought will help your sound system perform at it's best. Equipment is only as good as the install in car audio.

Welcome to the site! Beware of trolls
