70lb bales on a 30 yr old ladder makes you worry lol

are you talkin HAY cause the last house i built i thought when i order shigles they were bundles lol

it is hard work but good money we work year round and in northern minnesota id rather the heat than the ice and snow on tar paper and ice and water but the scarin the shingles ****

we do it easy though we use the sky jacker to stock the roof

Me and my dad used to work up by Detroit Lakes.

My sister used to go to the christian (i think) college in bemidgy.

Try being a lineman for an electric company. Not hard if you've done it all your life. But I just started.

My last REAL job was building custom house from the floor up. We did lake side jobs, and the 200Ft. cliffs + the 40Ft. tall houses is a little unsettling. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif If I can find it, I have a video of my dad using a sheet of decking as an umbrella. Straight into a pile of driveway gravel. He hurt the next 5 weeks after that one...

im a general contractor i do all i like buildin foundation up houses better than buildin off someone else messed up foundation but do what you gotta do

ive fallen a couple time highest so far 34 feet on ice that left a few bruised ribs but nuttin broke

When it gets 100+ degrees outside those black roofs get hot.

yes that tar in the shingles makes it like 120-130 on a 90 degree day or so it seems

whats the worse if anyone has done them is rubber roofs on a 95 degree day with 100 percent humidity

I grew up roofing. My dad was a roofer, And now my bro runs the company. Yea, its a tough job. Shingles are easy jobs. Used to carry 2 bundles at a time in my day. Rubber roofing, Now theres a mans job. try carring up half a roll of rubber up a 60 foot ladder. Then jump over a fire escape, and go up another 30' ladder. Mostly worked in Boston on 5 story brown stones. No way to get a crane in there. And Slate and copper work. Thats where the money is. Try talking a milk crate full of slate up a ladder. things weigh like 180 lbs.

For ovbious reasons, I no longer do roofing.
