I'm running about 1000 watt partsexpress amp on my 12 Dayton RS HO woofer. I like it.

It gets pretty loud, but it's only in a 1 ft^3 sealed box. I only listen to it when I watch movies, so it's not like I have raging parties all the time, so the neighbors don't complain. Plus we're on quarter acre lots, so it's not like the houses are super-close.
