Just installed the CDA-9885 in my friends truck and the front and rear speakers play for radio but for cd's and his iphone it only is playing rear. Any ideas, i checked the fader and it was alright.

i have the same problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif although it didnt happen with a new deck, it happened when I took my system out.

Dodge truck, I bet. If it had a factory Infinity system, there are amplifiers running the front door speakers. Right now the factory amps are only turning on with the radio, because you have your deck's power antenna wire connected to the factory amp activation wire.

Disconnect whatever's attached to the blue wire coming from your deck. Switch it to the blue/white wire instead. This should solve your problem.

Hey thanks, will give it a shot.

Alright heres the deal, i connect the blue wire coming straight from the deck to the blue/white wire from the truck, the amps dont turn on. I connect the blue wire from the deck, blue from the harness and blue/white from behind the harness and the front speakers turn on and play. Then when a certain volume of bass hits they skip, dont know why, any help?

*EDIT* I just thought that maybe when the bass hits the stock amp drops below 12v and it shuts off, cause i just turn the bass down by about 3-4 and it doesnt turn off anymore, could this be possible?

edit - sorry no mean to thread jack - pm me if you can help

i just tried - my remote wire was hooked up hu - remote (that WAS running to and amp before i took my system out) I tried to connect it to the factory blue - but no go.

The blue wire from your deck shouldn't be connected to anything.

The blue/white wire should be connected to the truck's amp turn-on wire. If you're using an adapter harness, it's the blue wire in the harness. If you're not using the adapter, the factory wire is probably green or green/red. (If you're using one of those cheesy Wal-mart harnesses that combines two plugs on one harness, ignore the blue/white wire in the harness; it's for the 2002+ vehicles and doesn't connect to anything in yours).

If something's cutting out at high volumes with the bass up, then make sure your battery isn't dying, and make sure the deck is well grounded. There's no ground wire in the Dodge plug, so you might have to look for the factory ground wire or ground the deck directly to dash metal.
