New dd 9515

I started a thread yesterday about me getting a dd 9500 and what i would need to keep it fed. This is my first serious sub and i just got it today. it sounds so clean and hits lows almost to well. I cant wait to actually get a box that suits this speaker well. Also ive decided as far as electrical goes to just do the big 3 and get a beefy battery. A couple questions guys. I need boxspecs from someone who has experience with the 9515. I wanna tune it to a daily driver setup. Also what are the pros and cons of going daily setup and competition setup? Should i even consider competition setup?

I'll say USUALLY for competition set ups the box is tuned higher (low 40s. Also depends on the vehicle) so it isn't very musical. Daily setups are usually tuned in the low 30s. How much power do you want to run? If its the new 9515j it can probably take about 3000-3500. An M3b should be perfect. @NoLoud4U ; is a dd nuthugger, he can help you out probably.

build for daily and enjoy your sub...not enough comps left these days...too fool with...FOR DAILY BUILD IT TO 4.5 CU FT PLUS PORT...OPEN PORT 67sq inches...26" long...do a slot port...make sure port and sub load properly...sound deaden all you can

Nissan titan crew cab 2010. Yeah i figured low 30s. Ok i have a dd m2b. I think if i strain all the wattage i can out of it SAFELY i think it should be enough power to run the 9500. Its an i series btw. I think if i just got the big 3, a new battery, and a good custom box id be treating that sub good.

M2b is enough for the 9500i. They raised the power handling in the j's. Enjoy it, I wish I had 1. Lol

its a lot...I plan on doing a single sub daily build with one on a Team Cactus 7kw in my Wrangler soon
Can the new 9900s handle a M4 daily? I assume they can with a 4 inch coil. I mean if a HDC4 can take a Q1-3500 at .5 ohm than a 9900 should be able to take a M4.

They should...Ive started working on a setup in my tdi bug for Turkey drags...I may run my M4 on two Tantric 10s or a RD D5 on each...but the Z's handle way more power than my HDDs
