between getting my deck warrantied from it smoking crack on it's own, and a woofer and crossover from my diamond M3 6.5 comps fryin from that... took about a month of little to no radio and/or shit hole front stage......but now it's doing better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

put in some vintage diamond audio M5's made in germany and 7 years old....the stock door speaker's basket were part of the cylinder like thingy attached to the door panal, and just open on the other side.....so i went and sealed off the backside with raammat (shits AWSOME) and added these things to the front to focus the sound through the hole in the outter panal (they too came with the stock speakers)........anyhow, pic time.......

stock speaker "basket" inside the cylinder that is now used are part of the "enclosure"

front of a panal (these were a pain int he *** to get of out the door)

u can see some left over great stuff, which was used to hold in the old D.A. M3 comps since i couldnt get ahold of anything better at the time.........maybe not the best, but it worked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

back of panal, open side of cylinder

deadened the back on each side, threw another layerin the inside just for shits an giggles....

backside of panal

DA's on the left, infinity silk domes on the right, the silk domes are off deck power, and so will my rear fill pioneer coaxils once i get them done this week.

mounted speaker, extended trim, and crossover ( liquid nails FTW......hey it works //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

aren't they cute

yaaayyeeeya

couple hours of work, some overnight drying, and sure enough it worked out all quite nicely.....the mid bass is the very nice, better than when the M3's were not saled off.....the tweets were a lil harsh at first but after some tuning they are just fine.....everything sound very full, im very pleased thanks for looking guys

Are both of those factory mounts for the tweeters, or did you do all that yourself?

And if so, give insight, I gotta find a place to mount my tweets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

spot on the doors are factory, spot on the dash are actually AC vents used for when its set to defrost... lol..... even wiht defrost on it just makes more air go through the vents shooting to the winshield, doesnt hurt the tweets at all.......

it does sound nice, i bet if i had my old 8800prs it's sound reeeeeeallly nice. but all around it has a nice sound right now. im constantly figiting with the EQs to try and get it perfect.....with the extra tweets its easy to getem harsh but by keeping treble sid eof the EQ reasonably low it evens out nicely.........
