new componets compare to rainbow 6.5 slc

MA audio and Pioneer to replace Rainbow? Come on now.

Running active just means you use four channels of amplification(two for the tweets, two for the mids) and actively tune the xover frequencies using an external crossover. Personally, i'd go with that option.

And if you were to get a new comp. set, how much for the rainbow mids? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

$120 retail price for tweeters is not out of line. I would stick with the same tweeters... most of your better comp sets have crossovers optimized for the drivers they come with... if you switch tweeter brands, might sound okay... but the set might not sound it's best.

Pioneer revs are great for the price.

have you heard the revs? they are really cheap you can get the whole componet set for 110 and then shiping is 15 dollars is it worth it to switch brands?
