I am in the market for new 6.5 component speakers. The speakers will be pushed by a Crossfire 705d amp and receive about 100 watts RMS. For subs I have 2 BMF 10's. I have put the max price I want to pay around 250 bucks. Of course clarity is very important and would prefer them to be able to be pretty loud. I like bright sounding speakers and probably not very harsh. I listen to a variety of music like Alternative, Rap and even some Country. Here is a list of speakers that I like from most to least. I would greatly appreciate your help and opinion.

I love my Rainbows. I have the same taste in music as you and these things are awesome.

You can get the SLC 265s for under your budget.

I would also highly consider the pioneer prs720. they are a very nice set

I have not heard some of the options you listed, but I have the JL XR's and they sound awesome and they can get a bit louder and they hit harder than the SPX. If anything, I would take advice from the guy above me and go for the pioneer prs720. From all the reviews I have read about them, they play far better than any other component set lower than $300.

I will check into those pioneer's I just didn't think they could compete with a higher end brand like Focal or MB Quart. Thanks for your help and advise already and other opinions or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I read on here that raibows are really nice but I was told from a reliable source that the PRS720's have a nicer sound but the SLC get really loud.

SPX is strictly SQ. Not great for an SQL system. . .

thanks for pointing that out , im also looking into upgrading my stock 06 civic 2dr couple spkrs , they are 6-1/2" as well here is my thread ,btw theese seem to have the best in watts requirements.. should this be taken in cosideration? (new member:uhoh: ) not as far as power amp issue but in terms of quality i could care less for brand but i want most bang for my buck... here so far the current list
