i don't know anything about bass ballin...
A member posted their website and i glanced at their rules section...
The website was very limited on the rules.
I'm "hoping" the actual rules are more elaborate than what's on the website that i seen.
Of course, if you or anyone else knows more about it, then explain it for us!
It would be interesting to see what else is out there that is not widely known yet.
I will say at least Bass Ballin league has the right direction!
Many competitors i talk to nowadays are getting away from burp only competitions and want to go to musical averages.
I do not blame them as i am also one of those people.
Bass Ballin takes that path but one thing that did turn me off is the metering location.
Now, the metering location alone isn't going to make my mind up whether or not a league is great, hehe, but with the very broad rules listed on their webpage, it makes me wonder if that's it...
When the rulebooks are finally written for LOUD Games, i'm sure US, the comunity, including me may sigh at some things, complain, say it's been done before maybe.. But..the biggest thing here is.. nothing in the rulebook is in concrete, that's what sets LOUD Games for USA apart from any other league out there regardless of who they are.
We will have the opportunity to change and rewrite the rules in the LOUD Games rulebook when they are prepared near end of next month.
Now, some things cannot be changed like classes and level accomplishments(this is something new to bass competition).
Because LOUD Games owner wants an International Registration, that means all LOUD Games shows around the world must share the same classes and competitor rules.
What we will have control over is the format of the league as a whole. One country is different from another and what might work there, might not be a good idea here...
There is a LOT more to it than just signing up, running, getting a score and leaving..
But we all will see next month.
This isn't the "End All" league..
Because it's a totally new style of league, i'm sure some people may not want to compete for whatever reason but everyone will be curious of it's potential now and when the hosting of these shows actually takes place in the USA.
