I have a 2012 Chrysler 300 with the 8.4" re3 factory head unit and upgraded 6 speaker alpine system with oem amp. I am adding a 4 channel Orion xtr pro 500.4 for the front stage and an Orion xtr pro 1000 for subs. My question is should I use the PAC converter (takes the low level signal from the can bus and converts it into an analog 5v 4 channel preout 20-20k hz) or a loc like the audio control lc7i. I will keep the better signal using the PAC but will gain eq features etc with the audio control. What do you guys think?

That's what I thought but I've got conflicting opinions like above so just trying to make sure.... Some of these advance loc's like the audio control advertise well and make it sound like they restore the original signal.

Yes your oem amp speakers works like normal! Now for the bad news at the moment it seems as if they pac unit is non functional, defective from the factory &pac isn't doing **** about it! Me along with several other people who have this unit not work for them! It is only putting out the right channel of a stereo mix! Not sure if it's effecting every unit out there or just udus online! I for one just bought a rockford 3sixty.3 installing over the weekend!

Is their a site where you and others have talked about it not working? I did read somewhere else about someone installing one with lots of noise but then the replacement worked fine.
