New car system - 2003 Nissan Altima

Kind of new to the whole car audio thing but I have a 2003 Nissan Altima and was wondering what are some good suggestions for speakers and amp are. I'm looking to get a new cd player also but nothing too fancy, just something like can run my ipod mainly. Any help would be great, thanks.

do you have the bose system?

I have an 04, my JVC has 2-way ipod control.

My components are rockfords but they are going soon, can't handle enough, want a little bit louder.

the stock has descent bass so if you are changing out speakers seal them and get good mids or add a sub.
