completly JL audio

500/1 or 1000/1

2 jl 12"w6v2s or 2 10 w7"s

jl xr comps all around

300/4 jl amp

already got a high performance alt

need new yellow top

i got 2 caps right now though.

hrmm

along with the upgrades i mean

getting 18 or 19's

not sure what to do.

u got any other recommendations? I have just had really good luck with JL audio in my lifetime, i have w6v2's right now but 10"s and they are awesome

its a formula firebird.

if you got some recommendations for me, hell, I would love to hear them, the JL shit was gonna be pricey as ****...

i want shit that will hit, but i want it to sound hella nice.

um 35k will get you a G35 coupe or a 350z, both are nice, not my personal fav, also that can get you a WRX (32k-ish) with enough to put a decent system in... 28 should get you an rx-8... many possibilities

Id get a single resonant engineering XXX and get it in a small ported box tuned low and feed it 1400+ watts. Then check out focal, rainbow, arc audio, crystal, cdt for components and a nice amp to power them and mabye get an indash tv with navigation.

Seems like you are into sports cars, which year model Firebird do you have?

I believe they quit making them in 02. I like the 02 WS6.

If you had the money then go with the new car, then a sound system. I think JL makes good stuff but are pricey, there is better equipment out there for less money. Hey, but seems like you have the money so I guess it does not matter.

I don't think their's really a debate here. Of course you've got to take the new car. You can always piece together a decent system for around 2 grand so spend 33k on the car.

You can get:

Audi A4

Slightly used Audi A6

Infinity G35 Coupe or Sedan for 2nd Choice

Honda EX-V6 Coupe (still have room for a 10k system)

Could also get some nice pickups if your into them

so ? who cares, its a nice car I"ve test drove one. and I like the doors, interior is nice and rear passengers will have plenty of room to be comfortable and have nice seats. not like I'll be back there but hey... i feel for the ppl in my 2001 T/A WS6.

basically, are you happy with the car ?? if you just got it last year won' t you get shafted on trade in ?? or private sale, either way... wow... seems like you got money...

I say keep the car but i'm a bit biased =) I'm gonna keep it and mod the hell out of when i have the money to, thats why I decided to just make a nice SQ system for it as its already plenty fast and looks good. if you want all JL, go for it. there are cheaper subs that are comparable to W7s tho. you seen the boxes at http://www.subthump.com ? they may not be the best built but they're still good, fast, look great, definately eye-catching, and not many ppl have 'em. unless you really want more luxury or sport/luxury or something different (plz don't say SUV), stick with it man. but are you happy with it and will be in the years to come ?

yes, a Formula is a V8. perfect sleeper car. looks just like a Firebird and doesn't get the ground affects or new front and rear bumper, raised spoiler, etc. He said he got it last year so I assume its the last year made, 2002.
