New Car...New System and I Want Your Advice

I got rid of my Jeep and bought a 2008 Subaru STI. With my tax return I plan on spending some money for my system.

I just picked up a set of the Morel Tempo 6's, I have an Alpine IDA-X100 in there now that will probably end up goign away for the f90 or 8120.

Being on the forum Rainbow has a great reputation and this and this look delicious.

This is similar to what I plan on doing in the hatch of the car (Fiberglass wheel well, amp racks/flush mount) but mayeb a little different layout.

I am still debating which sub to get, I like the idea of having a nice clean sub that gets loud when it needs to and I read the IDMAX and possibly the Morel Ultimo would do the trick.

I have had RE SE's in my Jeep and they just weren't clean enough for me, I also had a Type-R 12 off 750 RMS which I loved because it got so loud, just no SQ.

Another option would be to get 2 8" Subs and do one underneath each seat by making a custom box for them.

I am looking to spend some good money since the car is brand new and I am going to have it for awhile.

Let me know your guys's opinions and feel free to give any other recommendations for product/install. Thanks.

IDmax is a great subwoofer and those amplifiers should be great! You already have great equipment in mind. I would be sure not to slack on the install and you should have great sounding stuff!! Deaden the entire car, seal your doors, and active processing will give you a wonderful overall system with that equipment. I wish i had the money to spend on stuff like that.

EDIT: do you plan on doing any engine or suspension upgrades? How about just interior and exterior mods?

I have rolls upon rolls of dynamat and ensolite on their way. It makes all the difference in the world...

Here is my journal for the STI on IWSTI:

So far I have a downpipe with OTS tune with my AccessPort

As far suspension I am planning on just doing front and rear sways, short shifter, steering rack bushing etc but my system is next on my list...

hey i was looking @those IPaul amps, if you decide to buy them let me know how you like them
Haha.....so I guess I'll be the guinea pig....

I think I'm pretty set on those unless someone has a better recommendation. They are expensive but I get tired of all the same stuff....

Wow did I get lucky, I searched the classifieds and found an old one where DarkHart was selling the monoblock for 300. I PM'd him, he said he still had it, he also had the 2 Channel (for 300), so now I have both being shipped to my door //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Oh, and both are BNIB...
