New BTL's vs. First Generation BTL's

I'm pretty sure that neo motors lose their strength in time and need to be recharged.....might not be so good for daily beater. Somebody with more experience on this chime in.

anyone have pics of each gen or model in the btl line? im confused with how they are talked on here. i'm trying to learn fast but i wanna know before i buy one. i've always wanted to get one and now i finally can i want to make sure its the right choice.

I wonder about that.. I have neo motor mids and that is a concern since I play them all the time pretty loudly..

first gen 2slug looked like the three minus a slug... second gen 3 slug.. third gen UFO... Fourth gen Neo.. I have an 18" 3 slug and thoroughly enjoyed it

actually first gen was dual slug with 3rd slug option. second gen was ufo, third gen are the neo n2 and n3. originally, gen three was going to have n1, n2, n3, and NSG.

Understood about the first gen but didn't at one point they completely stop doing the 2 slug an only do 3 slugs? making it its own gen kinda?

Not to my knowledge. Just people usually get the 3rd slug option. Not many dual slug BTLs out there. I did have one though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The only BTL I havent had is the N2.

so just so i know and for future people...

first gen - 2/3 slugs which are big black round magnets

second gen - UFO design

third gen - current setup with n2/n3 setups

i'm only going to run a 12 i just want to know what the rms of each gen is so i get a proper amp

They look better on paper but the old ones seem to be better in the real world. I had the triple slug and it was very good force output but didn't sound the best. I almost picked up a used n2 and wasn't impressed with it compared to my old triple slug so I ended up passing on it.
