new amp or another or the same?

Iv got 2 pioneer w125DVC. they each have 400 rms, and right now i have got an alpine MRP-M450. I have everything wired at 4 ohms but would like to wire it at 1 but the amp cant take it. So now should i get another of the same alpine and wire one amp with one sub? or should i get a diffrent amp to power both subs?

what does you current amp do at 4 ohms? better off selling it and using that money towards a monoblock that does 800 watts at 1 ohm

it only does 220rms @ 4 ohms but with only one sub wired, it would bring it to 2 ohms which is 400 rms.

i'd sell it and buy a mono. prolly be cheaper considering the money you'd also save in wiring accesories for 2 amps

a mono amp that does around 800 watts rms at 1 ohm. i live up near houghton lake

hmmm i'm not up to date with the new amps. good brands to look at are kicker, memphis, rockford, phoenix gold, us amps, directed/orion, etc

would a POWER ACOUSTIK A1800DB be ok for my subs? It does 1400 watts at 1 ohm so i am really over powering my subs, but if i keep my gain low i should be alright?

you can always set the gains to produce less power, using a dmm and reading the gain tutorial

i have a power acoustik A1000DB running my pioneer ts-w306c and it does a good job also im pretty sure the amp has a fan
