You dont have to go behind the deck.

You are going to splice into the speaker.

Say you have a 6x9 in the back window. It has a positive and negative speaker wire. You are going to splice the LOC into those wires the plug a RCA cable into the LOC and run it to the amp

technically. that's why i said "preferably" from behind the radio. you can just splice them into the rear speaker wires if you want. i guess i just like things "cleaner looking" i dunno

It can look clean from the back and a 3 foot RCA is cheaper then a 17 foot RCA

Off topic but what are my options for an enclosure that tends to slide around when taking tight corners? It moves the rug with it so I don't know what to use or what to attach it to.

Bolt it down or put velcro on the bottom. It helps a bit. And if your box is sliding that much your driving to fast

The instructions that came with the LOC are very poor. I just need to know how this should connect in a general sense, then I might be up for wiring it in.

Ya know OP... you don't sound like you really know enough about car audio to mess with this whole thing yourself. Why not take it to a shop and have them install it?

Also replace the factory deck if you want better sound and more control over the subs and less problems.

You really don't need to remove the head unit. Since the installers used the high level inputs on your old amp all you need to do is transfer those wires to the new LOC. I would suggest plugging the input connector into your old amp to keep everything straight. Then one at a time cut and splice the wires to your LOC. Just make your cuts a few inches away from the plug so it is still usable with the old amplifier. Then attach the remote and RCAs to your new amp, and connect the power and ground.
