New amp and 6x9's ... cant get the 6x9s to work

Hi all, as a gift i recently recieved:

Edge 800w 2/3/4 channel amp

vixe 6x9 black air 525 watt speakers (pair)

i also have an edge 900w subwoofer.

and a Edge 400w 2 channel amp.

before recieving the new bits, my car was wired with vibe slick 6x9's in the parcel shelf, connected to the amp. also in one of the terminals, the sub was connected too (only two terminals so i had to double up the sub and one of the speakers)

I now have taken the 400w amp out, and replaced it with the 800w 4 channel amp.

the sub will work, but not the speakers (no matter what terminals i use).

how should i be wiring this, and should i still be using my old amp to power just the sub ? or just the speakers?

If i should be using the two amps (which i have a feeling i should) do i need another power feed coming off of the battery to power the amp?

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

if you need any more information, just ask.

Thanks in advance

post pics of your install. do you have two sets of RCA plugs. you can use new amp for both. but we need exact model # and brand and pics of everythig and the gauge of wire and elcetrical your running in your car.

i have one running from the head unit to the back of the amp ... but with this new amp i now have the ability to plug two in at once (do i need to purchase another)

and if i do need to purchase another do i run it from the head unit to the amp

will my headunit have 4 ports or just 2 and i need to buy an addaptor?

thanks very much for the diagram, will give it a go when am home.

but on another note, the amp says 'bridged' under 1 and 2, and 'bridged' again under 3 and 4 :z

as if i didnt ...

i needed 2 rca feeds but my head unit only has the capacity to plug one in.

does this mean i need to change the headunit? went into halfords and they knew **** all ... i think i tought him a lesson!

JVC KD-R302 - my headunit

is there a connector to put two rcas into one ? because i really dont have the cash to sort out another headunit!
