new 12" Kicker L7 box pics. First box build

Well, finally finished the box. No pics of the actual build up, was doing it in shop class and they don't allow electronics.

First pic is after half a coat of spray primer, then I ran out. Probably didn't need it anyway. Next pic is after 1 coat of Gray Rustoleum Hammered brush on paint. Next pics are of it with the sub and amp mounted. Still have to silicone the speaker wires. I know I know, 8ga is unnecessary, but I had it sitting around, and it's all Raptor but one length and good for nothing else anyway. Last pic is the new box next to the old. Pretty big difference, huh?

So, opinions? I should have countersunk the screws more and filled the holes with putty, but I had too many other things that needed to be made. It'll have a couple blue neons inside shining out the port to match the amp. Korny I know,but I wanted to do it: It's built to kicker specs out of the tech manual. 3.25 cubes at 37HZ.

Don't have it hooked up yet. My truck's down for a while while i'm installing a new clutch. Hopefully i'll have it back by Sat

Looks good. You need to do a lot of prep work when painting to make it really smooth, but if it's not a show car who cares.

You can use Bondo to fill the holes and seams...

hopefully i'll hear it by the weekend. I'm resisting hooking it up until my new clutch is in. Had to drop the ****** to do it, and can't start the engine to get 14v. Don't want to hook it up at the 10 or 11 volts the battery is at now.
