Never ending cycle.

First ever car audio improvement i did.

2 kenwoods in a prefab on my same cerwin vega amp.

Bass drowned out the song. So i got aftermarket speakers and a cheap dual amp.

That amp feel apart on me quick(it was 10 years old).

Get a new amp and hertz speakers. Hertz were louder than my kenwood subs.

So i got a sundown sa-12. Sundown and hertz were a perfect match for eachother.

Now i have a new woofer and wouldnt you know it. it drowns out the audio.

Time to get new speakers.

This is a never ending cycle.

Its more of a money/learning over time thing. At first the ESKS were the most amazing thing i ever heard but now ive learned more about SQ and what the speakers limits are. I need to step up.

If you are going to step up go as far up as you can. If not you will be where I am now with my mids

I don't think that going with different speakers is going to make it that much louder. If the output isn't cutting it, maybe get some horns or add more speakers. Changing from one set of 6.5" comps to another isn't going to be a drastic difference.

Oh yes it can. Going from 1 sub to another made it that much louder. Same concept applies

Ya put more power to them.on my highs first I ha a alpine 300x4 and then a Rockford 450.4 then a mb 150.4 and then a Rockford 800.4 then a dc audio 175.4 and then a Opti 250x4 and the opti is loudest and cleanest out of all those amps. It will make your highs scream crystal clear!!

Disagree. The enclosure could've been more suited for the new sub, it may've been more sensitive, etc. For speakers, enclosure is not an issue. If he gets a more sensitive speaker - well, I'd put a more powerful amp on these speakers first though.

Youve had way too many amps

He has plenty of power. If you don't think climbing up a speaker line does not bring more output.. I can't help you.
