neons?

you can buy those neons at just about any auto parts store and they usually just plug into a cig lighter plug

Are those the ones that actually get brighter as the bass hits/increases or is it the ones that dim when the bass hit?

Anyways, i'm pretty sure when i'm tailgating someone they can clearly see the dim of my headlights as the bass hits. I'm in the process of fixing that right now...

They're pretty dumb. I did it in one of my first cars for the sake of doing it.

All it is is a power wire and ground to hook up. The cheap e-bay set I had had a lil small button pad with a built in mic. Turned on, off, and adjusted the brightness. The bass mode, atleast on this, was nothing short of terrrible. It either barely blinks or will blink insanely like a strobe light.

could buy one of thoughs electron balls that shoots electricity out to the sides of the glass orb. take it apart and hook up the leads from the ball's music mode( i guessed it was called that) and hook it up to your neon lights. there you go

why don't you just get a 10kw system on a stock battery? easiest way to get your lights flashing when the bass hits.
