First of all, this is what im running
alpine 9833 deck, 1 guage power wire to optima red top in the back, 1 guage to distro block, then 4 guage to an alpine mrd-m1000 and 8 guage to an alpine mrv-f340, from the 4 channel amp im running 14 guage wire to an alpine type r crossover in the doors to alpine type R tweeters and some cheaper 5.25" mids. for the rear speakers im using some kenwood 3 way 6x9's, all speakers are 4 ohms. For my ground im using the bolt where the back seat bolts down, cleaned to bare metal with 1 guage ground.
I just installed my complete system yesterday, and everything works great except the 4 chanel amp thats in the car. it works at low volumes, then once I start turning it up, the red light on the amp comes on and only the subs work. I can't figure out whats wrong with it, and since I didnt pay the shop where I bought the stuff from to install it (quoted around $400 for a complete install) they are not being much help in telling me where to look.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
