Need Help Selecting the JL Amps for my System

The impedance is resistance of the speakers, with multi channel amps i believe they need to have the same impedance, like the components would be 4 ohms and the w6 would be 2 or 4 im not sure the wiring for the w6's anyways, a multi channel amp cant have two speakers at 4 ohms and another at 2, it will damage it, now the 5 channels that has a specific channel for a sub MIGHT be able to run at a different impedance from the other 4 channels, the w3 would match because the w3 can be a 4 ohm sub and your speakers are 4 ohms as well, BUT since the w6 will be wired to 2 since i think its a D4 sub it will have to be a 2 ohm load, hope this helps

I did think of one more question, should hopefully be the last one. I don't understand what impedance matching is. Earlier Princ3cmo said that the amp he suggested for the w3 wouldn't match impedance with the w6.
Do those two amps I linked above (500/1 and 300/4) match impedance with the w6 and the rest of the setup I have? I hope I'm making sense as I don't really know what I'm asking here, lol.
Yes they do match.

The w3 is a single coil 4 ohm speaker which means its final impedance would be 4 ohms. That's fine for bridging the HD 600/4

However, the w6 is dual coil 4 ohm which means it can be run at 2 or 8 ohms. Neither of which suit that HD 600/4 very well. But suit the slash amp perfectly to give it a solid 500-600 watts.

The components are 4 ohm as well as most are and match the 300/4 perfectly.

The w6 is vastly greater than the w3 IMO in terms of sound quality. Almost incomparable....not to say the w3 is bad, though.

I have all JL. If you want to go with a W6 i would recommend the amp i have which is the HD900/5. that will let you push 500 rms to the sub and the 75-100 rms to each speaker. I saw you didnt have any back speakers but only front. JL offfers a lot more then just the ZRs that would be a lot cheaper.

Actually the 600/4 would still work with the W6, bridged at 8 ohms it still does 300W.
