Need help please

Well I just got 2 12 inch Sony Xplod subwoofers. They have a peak power of 1200 watts, but are rated at 350 watts. The are suppose to be running at 4 ohms. I'm wondering what kind of amp do I need (brand, watts, ohms, mono or 2 channel, ect.) Also do I need a capacitor? Any this you can tell me will help, if there's anything I'm forgetting put it on here.

Thanks,

Jimmy

#1 take everything that you learned from walmart car audio and delelte it from your memory.

#2 best thing todo would be get rid of those subs and get like an alpine typeR since i know you're not into spending money on this project. if you're going to keep these, then i would suggest NEVER GO BY PEAK RATING ON ANYTHING! rms is your friend and the only thing you should go by.

#3 a cap is useless.

#4this ampKicker 10ZX750.1 Class D Amplifiers - Car Amplifiers at Onlinecarstereo.com

#5 wire subs like this

what are you doing for a box?

I'm building my own it will be the two enclosures with an enclosure for the amp set in an acrylic window with red lights. The enclosures are going to be covered in carbon fiber tape and the cover in high gloss clear coat.

I agree with the other guy. Scrap em and get an Alpine or somethin not walmart oriented. You will be way better off in the short and long run. It dont take much to do better than xplode. Go to best buy and start with an alpine type r. It will out do both of the xplodes
