need a 1200 watts for the front-stage

looking to build a new sql system. my plan is to run dual 6.5 focal k2p drivers per door and morel supremos in the A-pillar. i'd like to run the zapco ref 500.1 per door. not sure what amp to power the morel supremos. i'd like to keep all the amps matching with the same company. i'm having a hard time finding an amp that will give me 300 watts per speaker. what if i ran a zapco ref 500.1 per speaker. a total of 5 amps just for the front-stage!!!! i'm looking for some serious output... plenty of volume and low distortion.

one question: since the ref 500.1 is a mono amp will it play above 250-500 hz? this amp will be powering a 2ohm load. i was gonna go with the dc 500.1 but i plan on usung my own soun processor. thanx

id stick with just the K2P's..

run 1 amp for left channel one for right...

That is beyond overkill. No need for a mono amp per speaker. No need for any of that ****.

Start over.

yea... haha my front stage is very loud.. and very clean.. with only 175rms per set of comps.

i woul just reccomend gettin an amp for the tweeters, and an amp for the mids. Run active and you will be more than satisfied.

no just talking about the Focal comps... not the amps.. go with whatever on that.. ive run K2P's.. 3 set's of them before.. had to give them about 250wrms of good clean power per set.. sounded ohh soo sweet

yeah their sweet but the focal tweets for the k2p's are nowhere near as good as the morel supremos. i dought i'll ever go passive again.

the ref 500.1 is a class a/b so it will be fine running at w/e freq you want.

Maybe that amount of power is insane, but there's plenty of people using monoblocks for stereo...

well, i've never ran mono for the front stage. actually, i have. the dls A3 is a dual mono block a/b amp. i'm just looking for a lot of clean head room.

if i was to run that many amps, would it be hard to tune? you know imaging, time alignment, ect...

i would deffinently need an extra deep cycle battery and a bigger alternator...
