I'd like to replace my 4 speakers in my 1999 Toyota Corolla, replace and drop in.

According to Crutchfield, the speaker size is 6-3/4", but 6.5" should also work. Depth can't be more than 2-38".

The speakers will be powered by Eclipse CD3402 head unit (13x4RMS, Max 35x4, so they need to be efficient.

Budget $200/pr. I'm open to used on e-bay as well.

I currently have Canton components in my Acura Integra and love them, but don't want to go through the install of components for this Corolla

Crutchfield users recommend these:

Pioneer Premier TS-A643P

Infinity Reference 6022si

Polk Audio db651s

Kicker 07DS600

Sony Xplod XS-GTX1640

JL Audio C2-600X

Infinity Reference 6032si

Any recommendations? Back in the day, I know that Diamond Audio and Dynaudio were the best.

I was looking at these at woofersetc and sonicelectronix:

CDT Audio CL-E61NEOX

CDT Audio EF-61NEOX

Infinity KAPPA63.7I

Infinity KAPPA 63.9i

Infinity Kappa 652.9i

Infinity Kappa 62.is

Any thoughts on these? The Infinity have 94-95db sensitivity so they might be a better fit? CDT Audios are 90-91db.

Spencer, are you suggesting the Image Dynamics CTX6 for the front? I'm not sure how much work it will be to put 6" speakers in a (supposedly) 6-3/4" hole.

i wouldnt buy CDT from woofersetc...

contact ExigeAudio, or go to vertexaudio.com talk to a guy named Mike. ive bought from him a few times and its always a pleasure doing business with him. hes honest and will give you a great deal.

That is the great thing about Maestro products, they are very thorough. Downside is the price tag.
