There have been many years were we have competed for a championship or were contending.

well the cavaliers have never made it to the finals ever. hell detroit has been to the eastern conference finals twice as many times since 2003, as cleveland has total in team history.

the browns haven't played in a super bowl or been close since jim brown

the indians went 41 years without making the playoffs. (curse of rocky colavito)

so cleveland had one good chance in recent history, when mesa blew it to that one cat in detroit
