Just because you win a game doesn't mean you outplayed the other team. Miami was in that game until the last 3:27 and could have taken the lead if it wasn't for a shitload of missed ft's and two missed wide open 3 ptrs in the last 5 min. I think they were 6-17 from the line in that game.

but when you say this, you must realize it opens you up to criticism from the mavs fans because you're basically saying "dallas didn't beat miami, miami beat miami." Not so bad in and of itself, but...

I have yet to be pwned. Again, defense? The mavs defense is nothing compared to the Pistons, this is all on the Heat, they are just playing poorly. You know that, everybody else knows that, you are just too high on the Mavs to admit it.

Lol, all you do is come up with excuses, you think Dallas is invincible and they can only be beat if they choke. Give me a break. Miami hasn't put together a "decent" 2nd and 3rd quarter yet. So as far as choking goes, Miami is doing it's fair share. And one other thing. AJ is not letting the Heat get back into the game. Miami took that last game with Dallas' starters on the floor.

if so, you can place some blame on AJ... but if not... then thats just how the play worked out... basketball is largely about improvisation, and sometimes it doesn't work.

Yes, a timeout was called before that. Right after Gary Payton knocked down a jumper to put the Heat ahead by 2. That lob was the play AJ drew up on the sidelines.

Yes, game 3 was a complete meltdown for the Mavs down the stretch. And if they end up losing the finals it will probably mean the end for Avery Johnson. He's had way too many chances to win a title there and when they finally get to the finals he lets them meltdown like that. And who calls a low percentage lob play at the end of a game like that.?? They would have had a much better chance at tying that game with a catch and shoot. But I guess thats why I'm not coaching the Mavs and he is.

You could say the same fawking thing about the Heat for the most part. Really I think it has been a pretty good series in general. I really would like to see the Heat win just to get you to STFU! Lol. Avery Johnson has only been head coach for 1 1/2 seasons. This is his second time in the playoffs. If they lose there will only be one person to blame so far. Miami's star has shown up, but I haven't seen Dallas' star do much of anything. Only time will tell. I think the Mav's are capable of winning tonight without Stackhouse. They'll need a good game from Dirk, and Daniels, Van Horn, or Dampier to step up off the bench.

x2. Let's be honest, each team has played 1 good game. Other than that the other 2 wins came from putting together 1 great quarter and 3 lousy quarters.

dallas is getting nervous, other than AJ they have no one else on the team that has won a ring. the heat have shaq(3) and riley(4 as coach 1 as a player) who combine for 8 rings. that ability to have a level headed coach that is a legend within himself and a future legend like shaq both who were probably idolized by more than half of their teamates makes for a more focused and determined team. they have shaken the Mavs. we will see how they do tonight but the mavs are in trouble. Expy said the mavs would shut the heat out but they havent. dirk is a piss poor shooter the past few games, he has missed critical freethrows and terry is not a threat they just let him score as he pleases. stackhouse has his nights and with Zo on the floor he gets a little timid around the basket. Zo put the heat into another zone that the mavs hadnt seen. they were getting blocked in the lane and became less dangerous in the paint. wade is on a good streak and i dont see it stopping anytime soon. shaq will be shaq. he knows what to do to win a ring or three.

Well it took a while just to get past the Western Conference for starters. I realize he hasn't been the coach for very long but it just doesn't seem like he has what it takes to win the close games. When the Mavs are firing on all cylinders its easy to coach them. But when the game is close he always seems to call a horrible out of bounds play.

You haven't missed much, the heat went down by 6 early, but they've since taken the lead mainly because the mavs are starting to play sloppy. Neither team is very impressive early.
