NBA Playoffs...

I see the beating he takes guarding shaq. Have you seen Wallace's FT stats this series? They have gotten in his head. Sure he's always ****** **** at shooting free throws, but OH MY GOD!!!!

because an already bad free throw shooter is struggling at the line, means he's washed up?

Ben is clearly not the same player he was during the regular season and the playoffs last year. I can't honestly tell you why. But by the look in his eyes and expression he makes when he gets called for a foul, I'd guess that he feels there is nothing more he can do to guard Shaq. It seems like he feels he's getting called for some cheap fouls, and I can't say I disagree. I saw one last game where they claimed he extended his forearm against shaq, and I totally disagreed with the call. So maybe he is just frustrated and it's taking a toll on him mentally.

Question....If the best defensive player in the league can't guard Shaq...Who from The Suns or Mavs is gonna cover him? Who will cover Wade? If they are double teamed, who will cover the other solid shooters?

Heat for teh win!

everybody said last year what was wrong with ben but he rebounded against san antonio. with all the shots he's taking to the head, he is probably dizzy and can't see the rim straight to knock down free throws

I remember the Heat having Shaq and Wade on the roster last season. Am I missing something?

Both Shaq and Wade had injuries that limited their performance and efficiency. Neither could elevate for proper shots or rebound well, and against a good Pistons team, were ineffective.

This time 'round they are both healthy and controlling the tempo of the games.

I would just like to say I hope Miami buttfuks the Pistons tonight..

Tired of hearing about the Pistons, they are bunch of school girl bitches..

Same for the Mavs too, they played like ****, how the fuk does Griffen out score Dirk? ah ha ha ha

Oh well..

Sigh,

I bet its nice having a beast of a center down low. And to think that Yao Ming is the next best thing. Any team with Shaq has the best advantage in the game!

It all depends on the roll players. Someone needs to feed him the ball. He's played with Penny, Kobe and now Wade. Shaq's been pretty lucky too.

Miami can't win without Wade, but can win without Shaq. So with a full squad, yes, I'd agree that Shaq gives a Miami an edge on offense, but for defense, I'd have to go with Alonzo Mourning.

Let me put it this way since Soul Reaper will cry if I put it otherwise...

I respect your opinion but I disagree with you. Mourning is great off the bench but doesn't provide like Shaq does. His presence isn't exactly "feared" in the lane or downlow on offense or defense.

Miami cannot win a seven game series against phoenix, the mavs, or detroit, if Shaq is out. Even with Wade shooting a godly 79% from the field, things would be oh so different.

And don't be too hyped up on the Heats "role players." Walker has just recently begun playing well but is probably the most streaky player in the league. Haslem has had many nights where he struggled on his midrange jumper- which is the only aspect going for his offensive game. Jason Williams and Gary Payton are solid players, but look at the other PG's right now. Billups, Nash and Terry are all considerbly better then either of them. Even their backups are just as good. Harris and Barbosa!!!

Do you really like your odds with James Posey and Derek Anderson coming off the bench too?

Please consider the depth of the Mavs bench and if you say they don't have a strong bench, I'm not likely to believe much else you have to say.

Stackhouse isn't a streaky player either is he?

I disagree, Mourning is more agile and feared more on defense than Shaq. Shaq just recently started coming out to help out on picks, although he's still a bit reluctant to guard a good shooting center much beyond the paint.

Mavs wouldn't win without Nowitzski, Suns wouldn't win without Nash, and the Pistons wouldn't win if any of there starters weren't playing.

Nobody has a SG better than Wade, nobody has a Center as good as Shaq much less a backup as good as Alonzo. Alonzo would be a starter on the Mavs and Suns. I won't go out and say he'd start as a Piston, but I think he would get a lot of PT.

You don't make it very far in the playoffs without a good supporting cast. Miami's supporting cast are more for support on defense than they are offense. Riley is a defensive minded coach in case you didn't know. But you're starting to sound like me....just stating the obvious.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
