That's what everyone said about the 04 Lakers. They got swept. Nobody gave SA a chance last year either. Dallas is better than you think, and I'm not a Mav's fan. They've got everything clicking right now and usually the teams that are firing on all cylinders are the ones that win the championship. In fact I think the Suns have a better chance of knocking off the Mavs than do the Spurs. But I don't think the Suns can beat the Spurs. I think the Mav's weakness would play to the advantage of a team that runs, which is why I think the Suns have a better chance of beating them than do the Spurs.

Actually the 04' Lakers weren't swept, they got lucky and won game 2 in overtime. But you have to remember last year the Pistons were defending a title and not quite hungry enough. This year they're hungry as hell to win another and their play has proven so. I know they haven't played a GREAT team yet but thats what happens when you're the #1 seed in the playoffs.

I don't think the Mav's had the right coach in place and the team chemistry wasn't all there. Only time will tell.

Dallas is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too inconsistent to even dream of a championship run. One game they look unbeatable and the next game they could lose to an 8th grade basketball team. Reason being.........they do NOT play defense for shit. They run and gun and when they're hitting their shots they're hard to stop. When they're shooting a low percentage they get blown out of the water.
They don't need a change in personnel. They need a complete change in philosophy in order to make a serious run at a championship.

and low shooting percentages? they shot poorly in game one against the spurs and only lost by 2.
