NBA Playoffs...

When there are 12-15 games a week, 80% is **** good.
That's why they get paid, now go back and look at the last 12-15 championship games in the NCAA, NBA, NFL, MLB...etc and figure out what percentage the analyst picked as winners, probably less. I recall the year everyone was saying the Rams would beat the Patriots in the superbowl, but that didn't happen. Or the year the seminoles were supposed to beat the sooners. The percentage of picking the winner in a championship game goes down significantly because you don't have the "easy picks" that you have in the regular season to boost your winning pick percentage. Teams are more evenly matched.

You ****ed up your entire argument with that comment. USC's defense was mediocre. It's ashame Notre Dame fans were saying the same thing, they were just a tackle away from beating USC and I don't think a **** person picked Notre Dame to win. Analysts aren't right as much as you seem to think. Just take a look at the pics they make this coming football season, particularly in the NFL. I'd say most analysts pick the winner 70-80% of the time.
You can't argue with USC's record over the past three seasons. They are the better team than Texas ever was.

i see my post went right over your head. he even admitted he won't be able to put up a lot of points against SA. bruce bowen is a shooting guard. dirk is power forward. shooting guards are not called upon to guard power forwards. dirk should be able to back him down in the post and score at will, but he doesn't. a 7 footer should know how to score with his back to the basket

What makes you think Bruce Bowen is a shooting guard? He is listed as a Small Foward, but goes up against most power fowards due to him being one of the best defensive players in the league. Hell sports center did a special on him just because he is playing the David and the goliath rule so much.

Anyway Cavs will take it all anyway. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hide.gif.2d479cfd917eedfe201353b91522ceab.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/awesome.gif.4430a219d9aaaa6cadc75e9290979dfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

dirk and garnett would make a nice combo. atleast garnett can post up and play defense
Nono, im saying if Dirk took garnetts spot on the wolves.

I'd put 10,000$ saying anyone in their right mind would rather have the starting Pistons roster than any other starting roster in the league. Even if Dirk scores more than any of their starters, they still are better than any other starting five.

well bruce bowen can play 2-guard or small forward. point is he is 6'7 and dirk is 7 foot. clear mismatch in the post. also bruce is one of the premier perimiter defenders and doesn't defend power forwards. against detroit he primarly guarded hamilton and billups

Dirk:

Ranks #6 in the NBA in Defensive Rebounds Per Game(7.6)

Rebounds are considered defensive... Watch your wording.

Efficiency determined by : GP, MPG, PTS, RPG, APG, STPG, BLKPG.

ownage9, you my friend, are a retard.

IDK about you but I'd prefer the a top 3 rated efficient player with below average def over a mediocre player with good def...

AND BTW, I wouldn't want my PF making my game winning shots you tard...

Half those ppl you listed are PGs and SGs and a few SFs. I'd take Lebron maybe, but wtf? Thats odd? None from the Pistons???? Which makes your argument pretty much pointless.

You are seriously RETARDED.

ESPN's analysts picks during the 2005 NFL season:

Theismann 148-92 =61%

Salisbury 180-76 =70%

Hoge 179-77

Jaworski 169-87

Schlereth 171-85

Allen 157-99

Mortensen 172-84

Golic 162-94

So not even 80%, they were in the 60-70% range. Not that they are the best in the business, but just to give an idea.

Meaning? It's a team effort. Put Dirk on the T-Wolves and they wouldn't make the playoffs either.
The T-wolves problems don't stem from lack of talent. They are deeper, more in a sense of team chemistry. Which is part of the reason the pistons are as good as they are. Talent can get you in the playoffs, but pure talent alone will not win championships.

S'why the Mavs didn't do jack with Jamison and Walker, you are correct.

Thats like saying QB Ratings say how good a QB really is. Take Vick into consideration. Terrible rating, awesome QB.

If Dirk is so efficient, he should be able to win the game for you.

Duncan, Marion, Lebron, TMac, Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jermain Oneal, Artest, Carter, RaSheed Wallace, all forwards that will get the ball to win the game.

Jason Collins is more efficient than Dirk.

He puts up a SOLID 3.6 points, 4.8 boards, and 1 even assist. Thats all in UNDER 30 minutes and that boy started 71 games. Oh, and he has a sweeter hair cut.

the pistons don't have superstars, however they have 4 all-stars. dirk only averages 1 block per game, and 9 rebounds per game, and he is easily backed down in the post.
