They started cutting to the rim, which is what they were doing in the 1st quarter which kept them in the game even though they were missing layups, free throws, and committing turnovers. When they play like that, they can keep up with the Mavs and beat them. Nobody wants to watch a blowout.

He would have been on the bench in a regular season game. But in the playoffs, you keep your starters out there to secure the victory. Not just for defense, just for the sake of making sure the other team doesn't come back, and if they do it's against your best players.
