Nba Playoff talk

yes it is clear that they have the talent to win....in the regular season...but the playoffs go beyond just talent...the playoffs are a whole different animal and require more than just a group of talented players...Mike's mentally of running and switching to pick and roll when that fails is great, up until the other team is expecting it on every play...you have to have a much deeper repertoire than that...plus you have to play better defense in the playoffs...good coaches get good results in the regular season as well as the playoffs...

right now, if I was a Suns fan I would rather have Mo Cheeks running my squad...at least he makes appropriate changes in time outs in anticipation...
I understand what you are saying and is about stepping it up, which is evident, they have not. Hell been that way for a long time with the Suns. Thing is, you can't blame everything on the coach, sorry that is not how it should be. They have the talent to play, but they are not finishing their plays and your right their defense has went way South on them. Like I said, it is about them coming together at the right time and well they haven't as of yet and don't look like they will. I wish they would have kept Marion, just like I said way back in the day. He is a good defensive player and they miss that right now. Plus Shaq keeps getting into foul trouble early, which isn't a huge loss.

Also I have seen not so good coaches come out with good results. Not saying I wouldn't rather play for a good coach. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Pretty much don't matter anyway, as they are probably done.

I'm not sure where you are going with that, but Rasho isnt even seeing time on the court with Dwight now because of how badly he got done up in game 1...you cant deny Dwight's play son...

Series averages so far (4 games)

23pts/18rebs/5blks/1.2steals/1.6assits

c'mon now...crazy stats no matter who you are, no matter who you're playing...

Sup Adam, not much here.
Not much here either. I'm finally reaching the end of my REALLY BUSY time where I was averaging over 80 hours/week. Now I'm going to take a little time off and enjoy some good weather when it gets here. Good to know you're still on the forum though.

I picked Boston to win it all this year as well, but hope someone proves me wrong.........like Cleveland, lol! We did win the seasone series, so we have that.
Well, I didn't get to see much of any sports the past few months and the Celtics aren't usually televised in my area either so I can't comment on the Celtics/Cavs matchups. I do know that Lebron was out in the game Boston won. So the Celtics would definitely have to find an answer for him if they meet in the playoffs. After seeing the Celtics get beat by Atlanta last night I'm still NOT concerned. Atlanta had a lot of energy last night and Boston didn't match it. Now I see Boston settling down for game 4 and restoring order. Especially after that kid was taunting Paul Pierce at the end of the game last night. All that does is motivate a veteran like Paul and Garnett.

I am loving the fact the Pistons are losing right now, but I feel they will come back. The sixers have scary, young talent and will be good in the future. I just think they have gotten lucky the first game and well the last Piston loss, I don't know, just fell apart for them. I still see the Pistons winning the series. I hope I am wrong.
Being a "secondary" Pistons fan I can't really talk any shit about them. But, they don't look hungry at all at this point. I thought game 1 was just a fluke and then the Pistons killed them in game 2 and didn't allow a come back. But to see them get annihilated in game 3 that is cause for REAL alarm. But there is always game 4. Game 4 will pretty much decide this series. The winner of game 4 will win the series. I don't see Detroit coming back from a 3 -1 deficit. But if they win in Philly and tie the series I think it will give Detroit new life and propel them to round 2.

Dam 80 hours a week FTL, but I imagine pay FTW!

What is it you do again?

Also, I am always here as it keeps me busy with the boring *** job I have, lol!

About the Cavs/Boston series. I can wish all I want, but the Celtics are something else this year and I knew they would be the team to beat this year. I mean who wouldn't know that, with 3 future HOF ers? Bron will really have to step it up along with the team to even have a shot. I don't think we will get swept, but I also don't think we can win a long series. I hope I am wrong though and again prove me wrong. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Pistons do look kinda out of the norm for them. I am sure they will be fine, but you know me and I am anti Detriot everything, lol! Just one of those cities I don't like and plus they are some of our bigger rivial's. So it is what it is and I respect you for sticking with your team. I wouldn't sweat it too much. Like you say, if they tie it up tonight, series is over and D wins. If they lose tonight, then good luck, lol!

Good to see you back as well.

here lately he just doesnt seem to want it as bad....like seems down on himself
that and he settles for the jumper too much
Well he is a jump shooter for the most part. I mean he can slam with the best of them and pretty much an all around player. I just think he feels he has to step it up, and especially now being down so much. So might be too much, which is a trendy story with them from over the years. Must be hard to be a Rocket fan since he has been there. Still a hell of a player.
