Our generation will more then likely see the collapse of all world currency's. This will lead to total chaos where 85% of the population will be wiped out by disease, war and starvation.

Accept it!. You can try and run, hide, stock up on food and weapons but you will not survive the transition phase that will last 20+ years. You might get a few quality years of life if you have the mass amount of resources it takes to sustain a group of people, thats if you all dont go crazy in hiding.

The good news is that mother nature will once again take care of us by thinning out the heard and thus leaving the correct amount of self sustaining tribes of humans so that we can reproduce, start another civilization and do it all over again.

So go out with a bang!......... a 170db bang!

you're right, and we don't have a world war or revolutionary invention like the internet to bail us out :/

Pretty sure we could find a "legitimate" reason to drum one up, we are America after all.

The Chinese govt isn't the problem, our govt is the problem. We cant blame the Chinese for us voting in the incompetent and corrupt politicians who we've allowed to drive our economy, infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities into the dirt.

Global labor values in 3rd world countries will be a competition problem for developed nations for a long long time. Until a single global economy is developed, one currency, one set of laws, etc. Like I said, a long time in the future. Until then, 3rd world living conditions, and the difference in the value of their currency versus the currencies of developed nations, will always make labor rates cheaper in the under developed countries. We marvel at the idea of some factory worker in China or Malaysia earning like 3 dollars a month. But whatever they are earning is a working wage there, or the people would chose a different means of income. Its the difference in currency values between the U.S. and them, and their poorer (cheaper) living conditions, that allow them to make a living earning that small dollar amount. Japan was basically the first country to realize this, and take advantage of it against the U.S. economy and manufacturing base. Then China, India, Malaysia, Korea, etc etc. China is plateauing, as they collect wealth their workers earn more, their goods cost more, and another country steps up to fill the void. This will continue to happen to country after country, again, until we evolve into a single global economy/currency/system of laws.

If our politicians hadn't had their heads up their collective ***** the past several decades, we could have worked to minimize the impact of this new economic paradigm. Instead, our politicians pork barreled and special interest'ed our way into an economic tail spin. And we just keep on letting them. Let me repeat something I said earlier in the thread, 40 cents of every dollar our federal govt spends is borrowed from other countries. 40%. And go look at our govt's projected spending for the next year, 5 years, more.... is the spending expected to go down, or up? WTF are we gonna wake up and boot those scumbags out of Washington and start over? When we all live in cardboard boxes?
