With the team we have and no one giving us a chance then yes. We lost so many players and I even said last year that we would compete cause I knew we had talent in Robiskie, Hartline, Boeckman, Wells, Laurinitias, jenkins and such.

You can talk all you want about shitty teams, but the Big 10 has some of the biggest names in college football in OSU, Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin. Just because they are not all 1,2,3 and 4 in the Nation every year don't mean we ****. This year was a strange year for all of College football and had so many #1's and 2's this year, it was crazy. Yet, OSU stayed on top a lot of the time and did what they had to do to get their with pretty much a sophmore team. Go look it up, we have very few returning startes from last year and most are sophmores. So is nice to do what we did this year and what we are capble of the next couple years hopefully.

I hope we do, we have some of the best recruiters around. Just ment with the talent we have as of now. We shouldn't lose to many players next year to the draft is what I was saying.

This is an irrelevant point, and is indicative of your lack of a strong argument. I don't give two shits if your players are freshmen or seniors... the NC game is for the best teams in college football, which OSU ain't. You wanna be the best underclassman team, then go play JV ball.

Read the posts above about your "star" opponents combined records. It's pathetic to think that anyone would look at such games and consider them as a bonus for a NC decision.

"Big names" in college football? I'm sorry.... Penn State? Wisconsin? A horrible Michigan team? These are your contemporaries that you think make the Big Ten something worth even mentioning? I could easily rattle off 25-30 teams that are bigger "names" in college football in the last 5 years than any one of those 3. the past is the past, this year is what we're talking about.

It's a fact that the Big Ten was one of the worst conferences in college football this year, and was without question the worst of the major conferences. Hell, even the Pac 10 this year was better than you guys. I think OSU would lose to any of 4 or 5 schools who finished with worse records than you because they played in a real conference. You can tout your youth all you want, but the bottom line is, your team isn't as strong as many others out there, and you fell into the NC game because of missteps by several other teams in the last 2 weeks of the season (key injuries being a major factor to more than one team), while OSU (yet again) hasn't played since mid-November.

Also those teams I mentioned was about the history, not this year or last, just making a point. Yeah, yeah I know, history is just that, but whatever, just saying we have some of the big name colleges that have a lot of pristine history. That is ultimatley why the BIG 10 gets so much hate, lol!

No,you have to good consistently and play a tough schedule to get in the national championship game. Thats why hawaii is not in sure they went 12-0 but iirc there schedule strength was 117 of 120.

Consistancy eh? LSU consistantly had trouble beating teams that werent even top 25. I think they should take the margin of victory and put it back in.

Michigan - #21

Purdue had the highest scoring offense in the Big Ten 5 games in to the season... Big deal. Who did they play? Toledo, Eastern Illinois, Central Michigan, Minnesota, and the amazing Notre Dame. That statistic means jack sh!t to me.

Penn State...played 2 ranked teams all year (one of them was OSU) and they finished the season 8-4... is that supposed to impress me?

Washington played 2 ranked teams all year...OSU & Michigan, however Michigan gets 0 fckin credit from me after their loss to Appalachian State...unimpressive

No fuggin shot. Since when did people think UGA was a great football team?...and more importantly, WHY? Yeah they are in the SEC, they are good, but they aren't NC material

OSU deserves to be there...they do have only 1 loss. There schedule was weak, but it was the hand that the team was dealt. The players nor coaches really pick the schedule...thats all the athletic director/Athletic Department.

VaTech-Ranked Team Now/Ranked Team then (no. 9 when we played them)

Midd Tenn

South Carolina-Ranked then (no.12 when we played them)

Tulane

Florida-ranked now/Ranked then (No. 9 when we played them)

Kentucky-Ranked then (no. 17 when we played them)

Auburn-Ranked now/Ranked then (no. 18 when we played them

Alabama-Ranked then (no. 17 when we played them)

La Tech

Ole Miss

Arkansas-Ranked now (no. 25 now)

Tenn-Ranked now/ Ranked then (no. 14 when we played them)

Thats 8 Top 25 Schools...and a Fla./Aubun/Kentucky/Alabama Stretch.

Who cares how we won...we won. If you check the stats we dominated alot of those teams on the field. We had dicipline problems with commiting penalties and throwing int. Both of which killed us...now those problems are fixed.

I have said it once I'll Say it again. Running quarterbacks hurt us (tim tebow, Mcfadden-wildcat formation, Ole Miss' Brent Schafer). OSU doesnt have a very mobile QB...thats why I'm not worried yet. OSU has a good team, and it will be a good game.
