I have 2 of them like new in box. I want 375$ each + shipping and paypal fees. That's not bad considering that one sold for over 400$ yesterday on ebay. I will give it a few days and then they will be auctionned off. I have tons of references on canadiancaraudio.com.

If you don't want them why do you want reasons? They focused these units on quality, not flash, ask anyone that has one and they will tell you that they sound awesome.

These things will sell themselves, especially for this price, 1/2 off retail!!!

Just sold a cd500, only 1 left.

The few differences I know about the 2 units are here:

-Same 24bit DACs on both

What more the cd 500 has:

-MP3/WMA playback

-9 different color configurations for display instead of 4

-cd changer control

-Digital output (coax, not optical), to use that you need an external DAC

-2 aux inputs instead of 1.

do these have preamp noise between the 0 to 1 volume level ? (what I mean by that is, if you have the volume all the way down and no noise is comming thru the rca outputs, when you slightly turn to the first "on" state of the volume knob that is there noise that you can hear?)

oh and not only the sound is exceptional, the build quality is top notch. the cd load mechanism is so smooth and the the buttons have a great feel to them. you can just ell they are well built.
