I'm looking at the 500, I'd rather have mp3 capabilities but most of all I'm looking at the quality of the hu in general. I don't care much for all the glitze and glamour they put into headunits nowadays..screensavers, dancing dolphins, race cars..pretty lights etc.....give me a sound piece of equiptment, durability, and some SQ I'll spend some coin.

Dude...now your talking!..I called up my mortgage folks today and told them to please put my next payment on hold....now it all makes sense..you just have to ask them nicely..LOL LOL

ok..seriously...I'm in the same boat..I would like to think I can swing the 700II..but not likely unless I start saving now ...by this time next year I'll be golden.

Yes the CD500 is supposed to more error proof, hence the reason Nak is now offering direct exchange within the the first year if theres a problem. If bought from a dealer of course.
