n e 1 have spl #'s for there expedition?

I was wondering if anyone here has an expedition they have had on a meter.also can anyone tell me how they measure spl in your vehicle?it does not make sense to me.I have a friend that had a system that was 152.something and it was very loud but i seen a video where 154 db was almost tearing a car apart and made a girls hair look like it was in front of a fan.

it depends. . .measuring to impress, you'll read that people had their doors open, mic in the kick, yada yada, I'm no expert (esp in spl) but at the last SLAP comp i was in you had to have doors closed, windows up-basically all sealed up, the mic was on the passenger side dash. didn't see anyone over 150 all day, One guy with a nvigator had 2 of the kicker square deals 15's maybe they were 18's if they make em. and a hifonics amp that was as long as the rear seat and he ran 148-149. if i recall he was having probs with one of his subs locking up tho.

Different meter, how it was measured etc can give different #s.

There are alot of ways they measure DBs in a car. I believe the most common is on the passenger side on the dash

I have a 1998 ford expedition with 4 L7 15s and 4 audiobahn 2300 hcts and I was doin 154 and change in MECA. It was tuned to 37 hz. Built it for daily driving but was loud to compete with locally. They can be loud but they RATTLE LIKE A SON *****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
