Music isn't recorded in terms of W-RMS. It's recorded by dBs.

Allow me to elaborate. Although music isn't recorded in terms of W-RMS, I can pull the average RMS of ANY song in Soundforge, and that is what I was referring to in terms of hotness and RMS.

Let's look at Pink Floyd's Speak To Me - Breathe versus Metallica's The Day That Never Comes:

That is a pretty big friggin difference in RMS levels! Let's say I am playing my system @ full tilt to get the most out of that Pink Floyd track then the Metallica track comes on next. I bet you, at a minimum, that I will be turning the volume DOWN and rather quickly!
