I think a better thing would be to test SPl cap vs. no cap.
I haven't seen many threads saying "I blew my subs my underpowering them"

Loyd did this test on CSO a while back, unhooked one of the small batcaps in Jason Maloney's jeep and gained .3-.4 db iirc. Also in his jeep it was louder with the seat folded up. Too bad cso crashed or i would find the post.

Also Loctite Wood Glue > titebond II, i tested it lol

loctite wood glue comes from wal mart its caled wood worx iirc

without letting the glue cure fully ( about 2 hours cure time ) the loctite held a joint with more weight on it before failing, ( after a full cure it doesnt really matter as the wood breaks before both fail, but i hate waiting lol )

also the loctite is slightly cheaper, the end of the bottle has a neat screw cap that works much cleaner and nicer than the titebond

also the loctite is a bit thicker so it doesnt run nearly as bad as the titebond.

you know although this is a really old thread (at least i didnt bump it) i figured i would tell you this:
