Some say fact, others say myth. I say fact. When I got my XXX the suspension was noticably stiffer than after a few hours of play. So I side with the fact part of this argument.

I say fact

When I first got my DD it was stiff and quiet....ran an hour of soft testtones with the laptop. Fired it up and it was noticibly louder.

Some people argue that Tube Amplifiers create an added "warmth" or second distortion to the sound. I simply call it a personal conditioning brought on by mis-information, resulting in the expectation that there is an audible difference when one is not really present.

I remember reading that tubes created distortion that some people desired. It was from my audiophile amplifier contruction book, but you always have to have more than one source of information to make sure you get the correct facts. Thanks for sticking with this thread before it became completely inane and answering my question. :thumbsup

Thats what I was thinking! I'm one of those people that takes it staight from the shelf and start beating the hell out of it! I've always done it! Never had a problem!

Again, I'm sorry mods if I reported this post! I swear it was my mouse. For the past month or so it's acted as if it has a mind of it's own. It freezes sometimes and I have to reboot to get it working again. Guess it's time for a new mouse! Any suggestions?
