my window cranks are rattling!! help!!!

does anyone have any good suggestions for keeping my window crank handles from rattling? that little spinning knob is noisy and i don't know what to do! help!

three suggestions; 1: buy new cranks

2: convert to power windows

3: take the cranks off, turn them over and wack then w/a hammer(only if it's a

"rivet" type). this don't work, get a bigger hammer

just be happy you havent broken the spot welds on your support beams in your doors, it makes really ugly sounds them!

I have a similar problem in my 95 sonoma. My window cranks rattle where they meet the door. Taking them off and putting new speakers in loosened them up a bit. Im not sure exactly what to do yet. Any suggestions? BTW this is only one of many rattling problems.

i have a 1988 dodge omni and my entire door rattles from the new sony xplod speakers i put in.i thought about puting sum kind of insulation in my door but im not sure yet.can any one help with my cheap econo car system?

are you sure you attached the speakers firmly? try turning the bass down on ur speakers too
