OK, just to set the tone. Bumpin Buick built me my dream subs, it took quite a while to find all the parts and get the build the way we wanted them to be, but in the end after man hundreds of dollars and many, many months I have 2 TC LMS 4000 15's with Ti baskets, QCAs... I mean they are the bomb! Well I am very anxious to get the into my truck and start enjoying. Well we have a comp coming up on the 26th of this month, so I figure what the hell, I will build for that and see what they will do as far as spl (although they are built for really deep SQ) and try some hair tricks at the same time.
So I am expecting my DAT 8.1 to show up on the 24th, which will be running the 2 4000s at ~2ohms, and my brand new EA 300 amp alt is going to be in on the same day. I have my batts and all the wire... So I am feeling pretty good about getting this to happen.
So in the mean time I am going to build the box and install the mid/highs. Well yesterday Wes and I got about 75% done with the box, so I started working again today at the warehouse. We always work in the back, and typically leave the front door open to let the breeze through. The space is 20' wide and 40' deep so not all that big. My 2 4000s were sitting on top of my tool box by the front door. I looked at them at ~2pm and just wanted to take a moment and give them a hug. Well when we went to lock up at 5pm, one of them had sprouted legs and ran the eff away!
I immediately called the cops, they were as you can guess not very reassuring of any action. I thinking about how heavy the sub was went looking around all the shrubery and bushes thinking either it went directly into someones car (which there were not very many in the parking lot all day), or they grabbed it and stashed it to come back later and get it. Well Wes gets on to his BBM and puts out the word that the sub went missing and it was "unacceptable..." I had lost all hope with the search in the bushs came up empty. Well, within an hour of Wes sending out the BBM he got a call from an unkown to us number that had a guy saying he was going to bring the sub back this evening, and put it under some bushes out front. Well at 9:30 for shi ts and giggles, not expecting to find anything, I went to the warehouse to check and low and behold, my baby was stuffed in the hedge right in front of my unit. I couldn't believe it!
I got mad LOVE for Wes (crucial) he is small in stature, but big in rep!
I am one lucky monkey!
