My Stetsom 7kd Test results....

We did .5 on a 2k6d but you have to roll the volume to get it up there. Took out the internal 175 Fuse doing it.

I clamped it at .5 one time, DC Amp meter, Went into OL when it crossed the 400 amp Draw point.

I have also seen a SunDown 3000 swapped out for a 2k6 and a gain of .4 db, so......

saz-3000 = 3kwatts @ 1ohm

2k6 = 3kwatts @ 2ohm

No way to do a good comparison there. Put it up against a pair of strapped saz-1500s though and it'll be a different story.

But IMO there not the best for a daily amp.

PM dtbrown.He has extensive knowledge on Stetsom's.They are solid amps, many top competitors run them with no problems.Daily you have to be a little more careful with impeadances.But all in all I would say they're pretty solid amps.

And from what I read they strap different then other amps, I think its a series strap not a parallel I could be mistaken but dtbrown would know for sure.

I have a 7kd in my rex, and I'm running it at 1.5 ohms daily, and it sounds pretty good on every type of music I played so far.

Yeah it seems that poeple are forgetting about independece rise when reading these results

just because he stated he wired the amp @ 2ohms does not mean that is what it is seeing

so the 2000+ watts he was getting was probably seen around 6ohms or more
