My Stetsom 7kd Test results....

So i just clamped my Stetsom amp and here is what im getting out of it... I am running a pair of 12" DD 9512g's Dual 2ohms...Im running the amp @ 2ohms... I have a Stock 105 amp alt a stock battery up front and 3 stinger spv70 Batteries in the back...

First test

50 Hz tone

14.82 amps

105.5 Volts

= 1563 watts

Second test

55 Hz Tone

20.44 Amps

104.9 Volts

= 2144 watts

Third Test

60 Hz Tone

22.2 Amps

96.5 Volts

= 2142 watts.

Also the biggest drop i had in voltage was 14 volts dropping to 13.18 volts.

So as you can see my box rise is pretty high and my question is can I or should I run this amp at .5ohms and test again... Also could I run daily at that load... The amp is rated for 1ohm... Thanks for the Help

I think the DD 9500's will love to see the power that amp can put out at .5

Depending on your box rise (DD's tend to rise pretty high from what I remember?) you may be around 1ohm, possibly even over it, so it may not even be a problem. Wire them down and see what it rises to in my opinion. That amp is so much more capable then 2kw at 13.2V from what I've read.

Wire it down to 0.5 and test it. I clamped 7300+ 0.86 ohms from one of mine with 4 group 31 batteries.

Dont run it below 1 ohm for daily, it is very unstable on music on less than 1 ohm. I dont use mine for music for that reason.

Go to .5 ohm the subs to see what the true DC load is and then retest.

Sweep the freq from 30 to 100, watch both meters to see if you even get close to .5, I would bet you never see more amps than volts.

You do not have to do it with the volume up, just do it on level 5.

The fact that dante is loud, has absolutely nothing to do with his amps.

You could put any of the top amps out, maxxsonics, ia, sundown, etc and still be close

This is the 16V version... I have yet to get this amp even slightly warm.. I will try for this weekend to do the .5 ohms test.

Yehh....but it has STETSOM amps.......not the others

Why would anyone say "Its not all its cranked up to be".....if you say it can be swapped out with the TOP amps and be close

Thats all im saying, not that its the GREATEST amp, but i wouldnt say that statement putting it down

Yeh his car is 95% in his build, hes proven that with doing 70s with 1 2510 and a 2k6
