I'm just curious, did you follow a design for this? I only ask because you said you switched from 4" to 3" ports, which throws of nearly everything.

no i made my own design. I just used WinISD to figure out port tuning and such. My original plan was to use 4" ports and while I was buying materials I looked at some 4" PVC pipe and decided it looked too **** big so I reworked the design to use 3" ports.

the ports as I bought them are 4.5", the final length will be 6" I believe, i don't have the sheet where I did all my math handy. We need to go to a plumbing supply store to buy some light-duty pvc pipe to make the ports long enough. Parts express didn't have any extension pipe for the ports I used
