People say they mod their cars to make them "unique," then stick the same aluminum wing on it that everybody else has, buy the same janky altezzas from
eBay, paint their calipers with the same paint, buy a Type-R, ..
I wanted something that's unique, so I did it myself. My own design, my own application. I'm pretty satisfied, and it's actually literally unique.
Total cost: $50 for replacement OEM lights, and $2 in black vinyl.
And now I've got a spare set of lights to mod and sell, I might even come out on top. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I put a bit of thought into the design, and result is:
* Reverse lights light the "eyes"
* The turnsignals illuminate as a triangle
* There's a neat red angle from the side view in daytime
* The brake lights glow the whole assembly
* The tail lights (read: headlights on, brake not depressed) illuminate a triangle shape in the center of the "eye."
* The physical contour of the assembly that follows the bodyline is more pronounced
